Novel IR camera offers speed and sensitivity
Silver is a new generation of IR camera based on high performance cryogenically cooled staring array detectors.
Silver is a new generation of IR camera based on high performance cryogenically cooled staring array detectors.
The Silver camera offers fast frame rates up to 400 images per second in full frame and several tens of kilohertz in subwindowing mode while maintaining high sensitivity of less than 20mK.
Built for operational flexibility the Silver provides leading-edge performance in both the two main IR wavebands 3-5 and 8-12um.
The Silver also provides a choice of spatial resolution either 320 x 256 pixel (300 Series) or 640 x 512 pixel (600 Series).
Benefiting from a completely new design cycle, the most innovative technical solutions have been implemented providing maximum compatibility and operational versatility with standard computers and third party image processing software.
The Silver series comes standard with a USB2 output for controlling the camera and a digital video output, while the fast frame rate operation makes use of the standard Cameralink interface commonly found in the image processing and the vision system world.
The use of these standard interfaces ensures maximum user flexibility facilitating easy integration with third party image processing software and ready implementation into process control lines.
The optical front end, built into the camera, allows rapid and precise focusing of the lens to be controlled remotely.
Additional lenses can be added through a bayonet mount enabling the Silver series to be used for applications ranging from microscopic examination up to long range measurements.
A removable filter wheel, entirely accessible to the user for exchanging filters, has been implemented for applications requiring multispectral filtering.
The calibration curves for Silver series cameras can be determined and loaded directly from software further extending the possibilities for research and development applications where flexibility is needed.
The radiometric performance of the Silver series has been optimised to offer absolute temperature measurement with the highest accuracy available from this technology.
The extended dynamic range previously available as an option on Cedip Jade series cameras is now offered as a standard feature on the Silver series.
