Cedip Infrared Systems recently hosted a meeting for users of infra-red camera systems from the French Army General Administration.

Cedip Infrared Systems recently hosted a meeting for users of infra-red camera systems from the French Army General Administration (DGA) dedicated to the applications of acquisition and measurement of IR signatures.

Based at Cedip's head office in Croissy Beaubourg (France) representatives from the CEAT (Toulouse), the ETCA (Paris), the ETAS (Angers), the CTSN (Toulon), the CEV (Cazeaux), the CAEPE (Saint Medard en Jalles) and from the ONERA (Palaiseau) attended a day of presentations and discussions.

Presentations introduced new multispectral cameras (Orion and Silver) recently launched by Cedip as well as discussing new products under development.

Reflecting on the day, Pierre Potet, President, commented: "Feedback from the assembled users has permitted Cedip to better understand user expectations, particularly in terms of metrology and measurement analysis".

He added: "The experiences of users expressed has given us a deeper insight into the operational experimental requirements of IR cameras used for acquisition and measurement of IR signatures".

During the last 5 years, Cedip has installed more than 15 infra-red camera systems that are being used to measure infra-red signatures in the test centres of the DGA and the ONERA.
