The latest issue of the "Through the lens" technical e-newsletter focuses on innovations and advances in long-wavelength infra-red technology.
The latest issue of the popular "Through the lens" technical e-newsletter is now available from Cedip Infrared Systems.
The focus of this new issue is innovations and advances in long-wavelength infra-red (LWIR) technology.
The independently written "Advances in IR technology" column provides a review of how recent technological developments in MCT technology have yielded considerably improved LWIR imaging performance.
The author provides several examples of how the advances have assisted R and D applications.
The main technical feature of the new issue describes the development of an innovative LWIR hyperspectral temporal sensor for remote detection, tracking and measurement of spectral emissions.
Background is given to the technological development and how the system is exploiting the wide dynamic range of LWIR MCT arrays to make rapid measurement and classification of objects in highly complex and dynamic scenarios.
Further features in the e-newsletter include: "Hints and tips" - a question and answer technical forum; a report on a Japanese forum on stress measurement by thermoelasticity; and hot off the press news from Cedip Infrared Systems.
Each issue of the e-newsletter is compiled and written to provide engineers and scientists around the world with an update on the latest technological developments, new products and applications advances in IR imaging technology to aid them in their work.
