Cedip Infrared Systems reports enthusiastic visitor interest at the recent Laser 2005 World of Photonics trade show in Munich.

Cedip Infrared Systems reports enthusiastic visitor interest at the recent Laser 2005 World of Photonics trade show in Munich.

With a record 950 participating companies, Laser 2005 drew large numbers of domestic and international visitors.

Cedip's innovative Silver Thermal IR camera range was one of the stars of the show.

The Silver 420 model is based on high performance IR array detectors that gain additional sensitivity through the further development of a cryogenic cooling system.

The camera delivers up to 100 images per second in the full-image mode and several thousand images per second in partial-image mode at a constant sensitivity of better than 20mK.

Top performance is achieved in the medium wavelength infra-red band (3 to 5um) with a resolution of 320 x 256 pixel.

Using diverse lens attachments, it is possible to completely cover a wide spectrum of applications that ranges from microscopic examinations to long-range observation.

For multispectral applications, a removable filter wheel significantly simplifies filter changes.
