David L Vaughn has joined CD Adapco as Director, Aerospace and Defense Industry Sectors.
David L Vaughn has joined CD Adapco as Director, Aerospace and Defense Industry Sectors.
With more than 15 years of experience serving the aerospace and defense industries, Vaughn will lead all CD Adapco activities aimed at strengthening the company's presence in the global aerospace and defence sectors.
One of his first formal appearances representing CD Adapco will be at the AIAA Aerospace Sciences Meeting in Reno, Nevada from 9th to 12th January 2006.
Vaughn honed his technical skills as a lead CFD engineer with industry heavyweights Lockheed Martin and Gulfstream Aerospace.
He was involved in several major aircraft programmes including the G-V business jet and the C-130J.
Vaughn then joined Synaps where he helped to develop and market software and provide services in the area of process integration and design optimisation for the aerospace and defence industries.
This allowed him to apply his skills across multiple disciplinary boundaries working with customers such as Bombardier, Cessna Aircraft, Airbus and Pacific Marine to name just a few.
Before Synaps was acquired by Engineous Software, Vaughn was named VP Product Management.
With Engineous, Vaughn further entrenched himself in the global CAE marketplace by leading special programmes, where he once again specialised in providing solutions to customers worldwide for integrating CFD and other CAE processes for multidisciplinary design.
