Magnetic drive pumps set the standard
Magnetic drive pumps manufactured by CDR Pumps ensure hydrogen peroxide is kept totally contained at all times for optimum operator and environmental safety at Brenntag's new facility.
Brenntag (UK), the European chemical distributor with facilities in Kingswinford, and central distribution centre based in Lutterworth, Leicestershire, has recently installed a new hydrogen peroxide storage and packaging facility to ensure the company is totally flexible to meet its customers demands and requirements.
The facility, which comprises two bulk storage tanks, is fully automated, and at the heart of the system sit magnetic drive pumps manufactured by CDR Pumps, which ensure product is kept totally contained at all times for optimum operator and environmental safety.
Brenntag (UK) has made the decision to replace all the pumps on site to CDR units, and with the help of a replacement incentive offered by CDR, can do so in a very cost effective manner.
The very nature of Brenntag's business is that of the safe handling and distribution of very aggressive chemicals to industry.
Safety is of course of paramount importance, and after many months heavy trialing of the CDR magnetic drive pump ranges, it was decided that they would be the standard pump used on site.
Engineering Manager, Malcolm Forrest said: "CDR Pumps manufacture heavy duty reliable pumps, with a second to none after sales service which assures me that if problems do occur, then a fast effective resolution is achieved".
"We have been using CDR Pumps on site for 5 years, and failures are a very rare occurrence".
"With their replacement incentive, we have been able to bring our plant up to date with state of the art pumping equipment, at a very reasonable cost impact to us".
"CDR Pumps' UK operation is based locally in Northants, and their team of engineers provide excellent engineering support to assist in any site operational problems".
"The addition of the peroxide plant ensures Brenntag are able to offer their customers total flexibility for their requirements".
"We are a customer focused organisation, and flexibility is of paramount importance in the competitive environment we work in".
"It is therefore important that our distribution centre has the ability and flexibility to respond to customer requirements".
