Pump station promises safe unloading
A new mobile pump station is designed for the safe unloading of IBC containers containing chemicals.
CDR Pumps has developed a new mobile pump station for the safe unloading of IBC containers containing chemicals.
The device has been developed with leading chemical distribution companies to meet growing legislation requirements for the safe unloading of IBC containers, and is built around one of CDR Pumps' standard STN magnetic drive pump units, and driven by either 240 or 110V supply voltage, and packaged into a mobile skid unit which incorporates male cam-locks for easy quick connection to the IBC container, and to the discharge tank, stop/start switches, with the option for remote control for increased safety.
The unit incorporates a simple control valve to adjust flow rates to suit individual installations.
CDR Pumps has vast experience of pumping hazardous chemicals such as caustic solution, hydrochloric acid, sulphuric acid, sodium hypochlorite and formic acid.
And with increasing quantities of chemicals now being distributed to end users in IBC containers, the safe unloading of the chemical can be an issue and an area of which requires meticulous planning and implementation of procedures to safeguard the safety of operatives.
