CDR Pumps has recently commissioned a new pump testing facility at its state of the art European manufacturing headquarters in Milan, Italy.

The facility is the result of a Eur 350,000 investment which allows speedy and comprehensive assurances of the quality of the CDR Pump product portfolio.

CDR Pumps has been manufacturing single stage centrifugal pumps for the chemical, pharmaceutical and allied Industries for in excess of 40 years and with the increase in sales throughout Europe, the compromise of quality has never been negotiable.

The test facility uses actuated valves and flow meters with computer control, resulting in speedy and accurate generation of complete test results, automatically generating pump performance curves and test records with full traceability across the entire product portfolio.

The inclusion of a frequency inverter in the facility allows pumps destined for non European countries to be fully tested at 60Hz or intermediate speeds, generating accurate test results at the correct operating speeds.

Ashley Fenn, Managing Director of CDR Pumps (UK), says: "The commissioning of the new facility in Italy is an important step in our growth as a leading pump manufacturer in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries".

"CDR Pumps pride itself on providing quality reliable products throughout Europe, and this gives assurances that each and every unit which is delivered to our customers has already been put through extensive performance tests".
