Pump painting process is streamlined

A CDR Pumps (UK) product story

New pump paint facility assists in streamlining production processes and improving paint finishes generally.

CDR Pumps has recently completed the commissioning of a new pump paint facility to assist in streamlining the production processes, and improving paint finishes generally.

The new facility, located at the company's European facility in Milan, Italy is the latest investment made to streamline an already bulging order book.

CDR Pumps is enjoying an excellent year of chemical process pump orders from all over the world, and the automated paint facility allows each and every pump to be painted to improved quality, and dried in a carefully controlled temperature controlled "oven" to save valuable time in waiting for paint to cure, as well as ensuring contamination cannot happen while pumps are in the traditional long drying process.

All CDR Pumps are painted with a standard two-pack epoxy paint finish as standard, of which is designed to last for many years in harsh chemical or offshore environments.

The paint finish of pumps is often compromised for commercial reasons, but it is CDR's philosophy to build good quality heavy duty pumps capable of handling the most arduous of chemicals, pharmaceuticals and corrosive liquids, and quality will not be compromised for the sake of cost.
