Turbine pumps use mag coupling

A CDR Pumps (UK) product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Apr 26, 2007

CDR Pumps has extended its pump portfolio with the introduction of a new range of peripheral turbine pumps.

CDR Pumps has introduced a new range of peripheral turbine pumps.

The pumps use the mag drive coupling that CDR Pumps has been manufacturing for more than 40 years, and are available in either stainless steel, hastelloyC, polypropylene or PVDF materials.

CDR Pumps (UK) Managing Director Ashley Fenn says: "The introduction of the mag drive turbine pump opens a new set of doors for us in certain applications".

"The pumps are designed for low-flow and high-head applications such as chemical injection or CIP applications to mention a few".

"The side channel impeller as they are sometimes called, offers almost no axial or radial loads on to the pump bearings, making the units ideal for a long trouble-free life, and has the added bonus of being able to handle up to 20% air entrainment".

"CDR Pumps have benefited from a number of new product lines and expansions over the last 18 months, and it cements our position as the leading manufacturer of magnetic drive pumps, and a serious contender for other chemical process pumps in the European markets that we serve, the turbine pump is a key product that we have been looking forward to having in our profile for many months".
