The failure of an old magnetic drive pump unit on an important palm oil application required a fast remedy.

CDR Pumps recently came to the rescue of the AES Seal Reliability Centre in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire One of AES Seal's pump repair partners had a failure of an old magnetic drive pump unit on an important palm oil application, which needed a fast remedy

CDR Pumps came to the rescue with a swift delivery from its Milan manufacturing facility, and a UTS 80-50-200 stainless-steel magnetic-drive pump unit was despatched in four working days, shipped direct to AES Seal's customers site for prompt installation and operation to get the plant back to full production.

The AES Seal Centre is involved in pump reliability contracts for a number of blue chip partners that use its leading mechanical seal technology.

This is an area of the company's business that is expanding rapidly with a dedicated team operating from the Peterborough repair facility.

According to Steve Alexander of AES: "Our customer had a big problem as one of his pumps failing on an important application, and the stand bye unit was showing signs of excessive wear, so the pressure was on to provide a pump to ensure continued production".
