CADwire.net is now accepting nominations for its third annual Tech Innovator Award.

CADwire.net is now accepting nominations for its third annual Tech Innovator Award Nominations can be submitted at anytime but must be received by 30th March 2007 to be eligible for the COFES 2007 award ceremony

The winner of the award will be announced at COFES 2007 on 12th to 15th April 2007 in Scottsdale Arizona.

CADwire.net believes that innovation in engineering technology market is a key to continued growth and wealth generation in the market.

This website, which provides current and historical news and information across all the CAD industries, recognises future technologies that may impact the industry.

The award spotlights leading edge, but little-known, technologies that address key design needs and further the success of designers and engineers.

Last year's winner was Quantm, a developer of software for the complex process of corridor selection and alignment alternative analysis in rail and road construction.

The software works to help developers select sites while simultaneously considering terrain, geology, geometric criteria, engineering and environmental constraints, community values, and minimising construction costs.

"The software by Quantm provides an innovative solution to the very real, very difficult problem of defining major road and rail sites through challenging terrain", commented Rick Stavanja, President, CADwire.net.

"We are always on the lookout for technologies that really tackle a problem well and interestingly, while using new approaches and new tools that help push the industry forward".
