A new service offers custom design and production of special purpose rubber seals and gaskets.

Ceetak has launched a new service for the customised design and production of special purpose rubber seals and gaskets.

Ideal for a broad range of applications, the new custom moulding service has been introduced to help customers improve the performance, functionality and reliability of gaskets, while improving cost benefits and minimising delivery times.

Key to the new custom rubber seal and gasket moulding service is a free design and rapid prototyping facility.

This can provide technical advice and practical assistance on issues ranging from the use of the most appropriate materials to the best sealing profiles, compression sets, groove sizes, compression and fill characteristics and assembly techniques.

After each seal or gasket is designed, prototyped and tested, Ceetak provides high volume production facilities for manufacturing products in all common natural and synthetic rubber materials.

These include silicones, NBR, perflouroelastomers and HBNR, plus high and low temperature materials and even those manufactured for special applications, such as requiring IP water resistant or conductive properties.

The new service will extend even further Ceetak's already comprehensive package of seal products, while enabling it to improve its support to all customers in sectors that include automotive, food, packaging and electronics.

The company's Technical Director, Andrew Kownacki, explains: "Our objective is to bring the benefits that come from the latest rubber materials technology and volume manufacturing techniques to our customers throughout industry".
