The University of Durham is currently accepting registrations for a ten-day short industrial course on industrial automation.

The University of Durham is currently accepting registrations for a ten-day short industrial course on industrial automation.

The course, which will run from 25th April to 4th May 2005, introduces the fundamental and applied aspects of industrial automation in addition to undertaking an integrated, team-based, laboratory project work on an aspect of automation, initiated by industrial partners.

If you have seen industrial automation in use, but had few opportunities to gain hands-on experience of programming and integrating such equipment then this is your chance.

The course offers direct experience in a structured and controlled environment.

Complementary lecture material provides the background to industrial automation and the influence of factors of choice when designing industrial automation systems.

Due to the nature of the course, which is delivered at the University of Durham, it will be necessary for delegates to attend for the full two weeks.

The cost for each course is GBP 1200 (VAT exempt).

SMEs should be eligible for funding, typically 50% of cost, from local funding support organisations.
