Chemineer has become one of the very first designers and manufacturers of mixers and agitators to achieve the stringent requirements of the EU's Pressure Equipment Directive.

Chemineer has become one of the very first designers and manufacturers of mixers and agitators to achieve the stringent requirements of the EU's new Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) - an important safety issue often overlooked by some contractors Introduced to ensure safety and best practice, this important new EU Directive (97/23/EC) concerns equipment that is subject to a pressure hazard, including mixers and agitators used in a wide variety of processing applications

Requiring considerable effort by the manufacturer, Chemineer has already achieved self-assessment to Category 3 (up to Module H) for the the PED, which gives consulting engineers the assurance that the equipment they are specifying is: safe; meets essential safety requirements covering design, manufacture and testing; satisfies appropriate conformity assessment procedures; and carries the CE marking and other information.

With a proven track record, this latest acknowledgment for Chemineer mixers and agitators follows the company's recent recognition by the ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) for its bioprocessing equipment.
