Mixers and agitators approved for Zone 0
Mixers and agitators meet the ATEX Directive 94/9/EC Zone 0 requirement for equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
The directive applies to equipment that has its own source of ignition; is intended for use in a potentially explosive atmosphere (air mixtures); and is under normal atmospheric conditions.
Mixers not complying with ATEX can be cost-effectively upgraded by Chemineer, which has also achieved ATEX Zone 1 for its XP, MR, HS and Greerco high shear mixers.
In addition to meeting the ATEX Directive, Chemineer's commitment to quality and safety has seen it achieve compliance with ASME-BPE quality, which demonstrates an exemplary standard for manufacturing high purity equipment ideally suited to critical industries.
Chemineer also became one of the very first designers and manufacturers of mixers and agitators to achieve the stringent requirements of the EU's new Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) - an important safety issue often overlooked by some contractors.
