All-stainless steel mixers for sterile environments can improve quality and efficiency of production for products in which the active ingredients must be suspended in solvents.

Chemineer has developed two all-stainless steel mixers for sterile environments Capable of improving the quality and efficiency of production for products in which the active ingredients must be suspended in solvents, the SSP portable unit is for open tank applications and comes with mounting options including angle risers or flat-plate mounts

For closed tanks, the SSNC mechanical cartridge mixer can be mounted using tri-clover flanges, Asni-rated flanges or Din flanges as standard.

All drives incorporate a fully-sealed wash-down motor, with the closed-tank application SSNC mixer having PTFE gasket seals on all joints.

The seal housing on both mixers has curved surfaces and no crevices, so that, for example, water from steam-cleaning runs off easily.

The shaft mechanical seals are selected to suit the process and can be dry-running or fully lubricated.

On the mechanical seal, there are options for a steam purge or particle catcher to prevent ingress to the tank's products.

Both have Atex approval; mixers not complying with Atex can be upgraded by Chemineer.
