Multigear for high torque, low speed demands
Specifically designed for high torque, low speed applications, the Centa Multigear units operate in the 5,000Nm to 550,000 Nm output torque range with output speeds generally less than 5 rpm.
Capable of withstanding repetitive high acceleration and deceleration torques, the Robusgears will also accept peak emergency torques in excess of 500% for up to 1000 occurrences.
Three design types are available giving output options of a flange/shaft combination, crossed roller bearing or twin taper roller bearings in a reinforced housing.
The input can be arranged to suit most stepper and servo motors.
Based on the cycloidal principle with three discs providing optimum load distribution, they are particularly suitable for machine tool, satellite antenna and industrial robotic applications involving highly dynamic indexing or accurate positioning duties.
