Custom designed Centa Zerogears combine zero backlash with high torsional stiffness and low mass moment of inertia.

Custom designed Centa Zerogears combines zero backlash with high torsional stiffness and low mass moment of inertia.

The units are particularly suitable for low speed, high torque, repetitive reversing duties, requiring small angular movements with high positional accuracy.

Ratios from 87:1 to > 100,000:1 are possible with nominal torque ratings in the range 111 Nm to 5450 Nm.

Capable of withstanding high acceleration and deceleration torques, the units will also accept peak emergency torques in excess of 500% for up to 1000 occurrences.

Output options are either face mounting with an output flange or flange mounting with a free shaft.

The input can be co-axial or right angle and tailored to suit customer requirements, with the options of a primary input shaft or complete with stepper or servo motor.

Typical applications include industrial robots, satellite antenna and machine tools.
