Easy replacement for coupling

A Centa Transmissions product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jan 23, 2006

Flexible power transmission coupling has design element to allow easy in-situ replacement.

The Centaflax-A flexible power transmission coupling from Centa Transmissions has a design element to allow easy in-situ replacement.

Four-way flexibility overcomes torsional, radial, angular or axial misalignment, and it allows modification to almost any drive configuration.

The design suits all types of electric motor and diesel engine drive mechanical engineering applications.

With variable high-speed range capabilities, it suits all front PTO drives, particularly stationary and mobile plant such as gensets, compressors, pumps and marine drives.

There is no need for accurate shaft alignment as the flexible, elastic element absorbs shock and vibration.

Counter forces on the shafts and bearings mean the coupling is maintenance free.

It is also Atex approved for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
