Manufacturing alliance formed with UK pharmaceutical fabricator for welding and finishing operations to range of sanitary and aseptic diaphragm valves.

Crane Process Flow Technologies has formed a manufacturing alliance with UK pharmaceutical fabricator, Axium.

The alliance recognises Axium as a preferred partner for welding and finishing operations to the CPFT Saunders HC4 range of sanitary and aseptic diaphragm valves.

"We believe an association with a specialist fabrication house is the logical step to follow a timely and substantial business review of the Saunders brand", said Marcel Verhoeven, VP of Business Development at CPFT.

"Having re-appraised our core competencies, we're confident Axium will bring enhanced capabilities and facilities in support of the HC4 range".

Axium operates from a newly commissioned 930m2 facility that is designed to provide a clean and hygienic environment for the fabrication of high specification stainless-steel components.

Axium's welders hold Asme IX and BS EN287-1 coding, meeting accreditation specified by CPFT.

Axium Managing Director, David Houldsworth, said: "The demand for high specification welding we expect from CPFT allows us to dedicate our most experienced specialist teams to handle the Saunders HC4 work".
