The Ceram centre for materials and technology will be exhibiting at the Ceramitec exhibition in Munich, 16th to 19th May 2006.

Ceram provides specialist services in research and development, testing, consultancy, technology development and training, as well as an information service for the ceramic and related industries.

This knowledge and expertise lets the centre provide resources to help improve the competitiveness and profitability of its clients.

It has also established a dedicated operation offering consultancy services across various applications.

These include: assisting manufacturers with new factory planning; improving manufacturing efficiency and implementing quality systems and standards; and providing supply chain consultancy for importers.

The company provides testing and analysis facilities from its UK based, UKAS accredited laboratory, and from its approved laboratories in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Thailand, which offer physical and chemical testing services to national and international standards for raw materials and all ceramic finished products.

The information service provides online access to information including world ceramics abstracts, technical papers and market statistics through its web site.

Members can also visit the Ceram library.

Ceram's Centre for Surface and Materials Analysis provides surface characterisation and consultancy services to aid problem solving and product development, and its CICS subsidiary provides specialist ISO certification and CO2 verification services.
