Acquisition to expand analytical services

A CERAM product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Dec 4, 2006

Ceram has acquired 100% of UK Analytical as part of a planned expansion programme.

Ceram, the internationally renowned centre for materials and technology, based in Stoke-on-Trent, has acquired 100% of UK Analytical of Leeds.

UK Analytical, which has been in operation for 18 years, provides services to the construction, minerals and power generation industries and has a strong client base.

Tony Kinsella, Chief Executive of Ceram said: "We have been looking to expand our analytical services for some time in order to benefit our clients across our divisions".

"Our strong testing credentials sit well with the extra analytical expertise that UK Analytical can provide and so clients from both companies will be able to get direct access to an extensive range of specialist equipment and experts".

"We will continue to operate from both sites, and offer a local service to regional clients".

The acquisition is part of a planned expansion by Ceram, and is one of a number of projects that will conclude over the coming weeks and months, both in the UK and overseas.
