Structured cabling makes the grade
Connectix Cabling Systems has gained third party approval for its new NET 10G range of structured cabling products.
Connectix Cabling Systems has gained third party approval for its new NET 10G range of structured cabling products.
The approval certificate comes from the prestigious Delta research laboratory in Denmark and demonstrates that NET 10G meets all the requirements for 10GBase-T transmission and the electrical performance requirements of all the draft augmented Category 6 Standards.
NET 10G has been qualified to Class EA standard under compliance certificate number 2006-167 and joins the Cat6 UTP certification obtained earlier this year.
Proving compliance for alien near end crosstalk (ANEXT) and far end crosstalk (AFEXT) is extremely difficult and can be cumbersome to achieve with UTP systems.
NET 10G however uses the new Connectix screened Cat6A cable and connector combination which easily exceeds the all the alien crosstalk requirements, and with no impractical mitigation features to implement either.
NET 10G cable is just 7.5mm in diameter; much less than the new UTP Cat6a variants and will therefore take up significantly less space within cable containment systems.
NET 10G is available now and is the first 10GBase-T qualified cabling system to be available in pre-terminated cable assemblies for rapid installation.
