Copa-Data is the first to develop a driver which implements IEC61850 - and thanks to the openness of the zenOn Scada/HMI software it can be integrated into all existing systems.
Direct synchronisation of data points with a Step7 or PCS7 projects also eliminates double data point definition.
Improved data acquisition provides data rich visualisation that helps with the debugging and optimisation of plant.
High datarates are particularly advantageous in demanding processes such as packaging lines.
The use of MPI can also give control terminals access to an expanded control command set, not accessible using higher level interfaces.
Italian HMI manufacturer ESA is the latest to offer a tightly integrated control solution using Zenon Scada software.
ESA offers three new control platforms pre-installed with the Zenon 6.2 runtime, with 7.5, 10.4 and 12.1in displays, including touch screens.
