Cardinus is running a safety-leadership course, entitled 'Leadership for Health and Safety Practitioners' at the Royal Mail's headquarters in Rugby.
The four-day in-house course was devised by Barry Holt, head of health and safety consultancy at Cardinus; and Keith Scott, group head of safety at Royal Mail Group.
It covers all aspects of effective safety leadership through topics such as communication, influencing management, change management and business continuity planning.
The course focusses on health and safety leadership and its importance within the workplace.
Learning points will include understanding how health and safety relates to business drivers, what it takes to establish a strong safety culture and understanding why strong safety performance should be a core business value.
