A Cardinus product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 24, 2009

Cardinus, a THB Group company, has launched a safety leadership training course, entitled 'Leadership for Health and Safety Practitioners', which will be held at the Royal Mail Headquarters in Rugby.

The course has been endorsed by the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) and has been developed in association with the Royal Mail Group.

The four-day in-house course devised by Barry Holt, head of the health and safety consultancy at Cardinus, and Keith Scott, group head of safety at the Royal Mail Group, covers all aspects of effective safety leadership through topics such as communication, influencing management, change management and business continuity planning.

Learning points include understanding how health and safety relates to business drivers, what it takes to establish a strong safety culture and understanding why strong safety performance should be a core business value.

The next safety leadership course is planned for the end of November.

Cardinus is offering IIRSM members a 10 per cent discount if they decide to join the course, which costs GBP995 plus VAT.
