Challenge Industrial Fastenings is now offering specialist plated fasteners to meet requirements of corrosion resistance, decorative appeal, functionality, conductivity and other such properties.

Challenge Industrial Fastenings is now able to offer specialist plated fasteners, including nuts, bolts, washers, and other fastenings in a comprehensive range of finishes to meet in-service requirements of corrosion resistance, decorative appeal, functionality, conductivity and other specialised properties Important applications are found in electronics, aerospace and other technology critical industries

Specialist finishes, such as those associated with the electronics industry, include tinning and precious metal deposition using silver, gold, palladium and rhodium.

Challenge also offers copper blacking and electro brassing as well as the more common finishes such as zinc, nickel and chrome.

Silver or gold plating is often used in electronics assemblies, such as for tuning screws.

It improves conductivity, enhances equipment parameters such as signal strength, and is beneficial in high performance systems.

Components can be supplied coated to customer's own specifications or in accordance with ministry, British and International standards.
