Challenge Industrial Fastenings now carries stock of a full range of C-type and R-type cup washers.
These ubiquitous items are applicable everywhere that countersunk head screws are used with soft materials such as wood, composite boards, plastic sheets or fabrics.
Cup washers provide a bearing surface to protect the material being fixed and to provide an attractive finish to the finished piece whether it be furniture or machinery.
They ensure a positive location without damage to the surface.
Cup washers eliminate the need for countersunk holes and are ideal for mounting plastic sheet or fabric coverings since the outer rim of the washer grips the material independent of the screw.
These washers are also used to improve the appearance of screw fixings and are often matched to the screw head for this purpose.
