The new PPCH pressure controller/calibrator from DH Instruments generates hydraulic pressures conveniently and quickly using air at only 100lb/in2 maximum input.

For many years, the only safe way generate pressures up to 200MPa (30,000lb/in2) was to use a dead-weight tester - a time-consuming and expensive solution The new PPCH pressure controller/calibrator from DH Instruments generates hydraulic pressures conveniently and quickly using air at only 100lb/in2 maximum input

The controller may be configured with up to two Q-RPT modules, containing fully characterised resonant quartz transfer standards incorporated in the base unit and two more may be addressed externally using DHI's RPM4 instrument.

One controller can therefore provide hydraulic calibration pressures automatically across many decades.

PPCH is a feature-rich controller with all the software control necessary for seamless incorporation into a test or calibration system.

Pressure ready indicator, intelligent auto-zero, automatic fluid head correction, onboard calibration sequences, valve drivers, RS232 and IEEE488, leak testing, Flash memory for simple and free embedded software upgrades from the DH Instruments websiteare just some of the features.

The DH Instruments family of pneumatic and hydraulic controller/calibrators provide a complete, safe solution for those wishing to either calibrate their own product or to provide an external calibration service.

The Q-RPT concept, coupled with ultra-high-stability pressure control circuitry, combine to provide the lowest uncertainties available from a transfer standard.

When managed using DHI's Compass for Pressure calibration management software, the entire calibration and data acquisition task may be carried out automatically after DUT hook-up.

Data may be exported in many common formats, including Fluke's MetCal.
