Chaintec has launched a regional operation to target Greater and central London.

Chaintec's London office is based at Mercury, a supplier of industrial spare parts and specialist components.

Mercury has depots in Bow, East London and Enfield, North London.

Both depots now stock a wide range of Chaintec chains and can custom cut lengths to suit customer requirements and deliver product direct to a customer's site.

David Hassan, Chaintec's managing director, said: 'Mercury is our first distributor dedicated to inner and outer London and it enables us to get closer to our growing customer base in and around the capital.' Chris Clayden, director at Mercury, said: 'We are already experienced suppliers of roller and other chains and had identified a demand for high-quality, cost-effective leaf chains within the FLT market.' He added: 'From our depot in Bow, we are particularly well placed to support redevelopment works across East London for the 2012 London Olympics.' Chaintec's UK network provides customers with access to local experts and delivers chains to the customer site.

Selected offices will also fit chains on FLT units.
