The four-day open house staged by Chiron Werke UK at its new UK headquarters in Southam, Warwickshire were "an overwhelming success".

With orders totalling over £1/2 million and excellent attendances, the four-day open house staged by Chiron Werke UK at its new UK headquarters in Southam, Warwickshire were "an overwhelming success", according to managing director Paul Rhodes The new, custom-built site - which represents a £750,000 investment - featured working demonstrations on a number of Chiron's market-leading high-speed vertical machining centres, including the FZ08W, FZ12W Magnum, FZ12S and DZ18L

Also on show was the new FZ12W HS+, a machine that is cutting machining times in half for its first UK user - British Fly Reels.

Orders were placed for a Chiron FZ08W and FZ12 SK five-axes models.

"Importantly," says Paul Rhodes, "the many visitors also recognised how the 10,000 ft2 site heralds a new era in machine tool marketing.

Because rather than being set up as a machine showroom, the facility has been designed as a solution engineering prove-out site.

"Our new home has been set-up specifically to promote and reinforce our commitment to UK users' increasing demands for turnkey application engineering projects," he adds.
