Chemence introduces Ritelok SF600, a medium-high viscosity cyanoacrylate which will bond many common substrates including acidic surfaces such as paper, card and leather.

Chemence has introduced Ritelok SF600, a medium-high viscosity cyanoacrylate which will bond many common substrates including acidic surfaces such as paper, card and leather.

It is packed in 20, 50 and 500g bottles and will be used for assembly and repair of articles made from plastic, rubber, metal, paper, wood, leather and many other common materials.

Product Manager David Mann said: "Our existing SF grades (SF5, SF20 and SF100) are best sellers and very well received by OEMs and across the maintenance and repair sectors".

"One of our customers in the electronics industry was using SF100 and asked us to develop a higher viscosity for an application where controlled squeeze out and the ability to work on inclined surfaces were important".

"Additionally, the assembled parts had to undergo rigorous environmental tests before approval".

"Our in-house team of chemists were able to develop the new adhesive, retaining the fast cure and strength while adding the required rheological properties".
