Wolters Kluwer (UK) appoints Martin Smith as Croner Managing Director.

Wolters Kluwer (UK) is announcing the appointment of Martin Smith as Managing Director of Croner, the UK's leading provider of business information and advice.

Martin, formerly commercial director at British Standards (BSi), brings with him over 15 years of experience in the publishing and information markets working nationally and internationally for both corporate and not-for-profit content organisations.

During his time at BSi he was responsible for UK, US and Asia Pacific sales and distribution, online content development, licensing and aggregation development, customer service, international assistance projects and the development of consultancy services.

With a professional background in publishing, including Publishing Director and INSPEC General Manager for the Institution of Engineering and Technology and Publishing and Business Development Director for GEE, Martin's new role will be to focus on the online product and customer development.

He will also be looking at enhancing Croner's existing market leading publications and developing its business advice and consultancy services.

Martin will report directly in to Bob Becker, CEO Law and Business, Wolters Kluwer.
