Back flushing system aids pump cleaning

Polymer pumps are now available with the option of a back flushing system.
For many years, Chemical Process Solutions has offered its stainless steel diaphragm pump with the option of a back-flushing system.
Now the company is offering the same option on its polymer-based pumps.
A bypass system in the side housings, which can be activated pneumatically or by manual valves, allows the operator to empty the pump and piping without the need for removal from the process.
During the cleaning process, the amount of detergents or solvents needed is remarkably reduced, which also helps to reduce pollution.
