CableNet Training has recruited Barry Elliott to work as an Associate Consultant.

Elliott will develop and deliver a range of IT infrastructure technical courses, with a particular emphasis on best practice design for data centres.

According to CableNet's Managing Director, Andrew Stevens: "With the help of Barry, CableNet will develop a BTEC qualification to produce Europe's only formal, vendor-independent, qualification in the field of data centre design and operation".

Elliott is one of the few engineers in the country to be a Chartered Engineer with both the IET and CIBSE.

With a degree in engineering and an MBA, Elliott rounded his education off with the BICSI RCDD qualification.

CableNet is the largest provider of BICSI qualifications outside the USA, and delivers these across the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions.

Elliott is Managing Director of Engineering Education and also a partner in Capitoline, an IT infrastructure consultancy that provides him with real-life experience in data centre and computer room design and management.

The new data centre training is available now at CableNet's dedicated training facility in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, or at customers' own premises.
