Flywheel provides "green" DC energy

The Vycon V DC140 flywheel can be paralleled for higher power applications and offers the opportunity to replace lead-acid batteries.

Chloride has entered into an agreement with Vycon to market and distribute the Vycon V DC140 fully-levitating flywheel in Europe, for use with its UPS systems.

This completely 'green' DC energy storage solution is an addition to the Chloride UPS product portfolio.

A combination of UPS systems and advanced flywheel energy storage technologies has a number of attractive features for modern critical infrastructures.

It is not only a 'greener' alternative for the delivery of stable and reliable DC voltage, but also holds out the promise of lower maintenance costs and extended equipment life span.

The Vycon V DC140 flywheel can be paralleled for higher power applications and offers the opportunity to replace lead-acid batteries.
