PSA Peugeot Citroen has selected Centric Innovation to drive innovation through its development processes.
PSA Peugeot Citroen has selected Centric Innovation to drive innovation through its development processes.
Centric Innovation was chosen by PSA Peugeot Citroen's Research and Innovation Department to provide a complete "mechatronics" simulation of the combined mechanical and electronic vehicle systems.
"Our partnership with Centric Software is an example of our dedication to remain on the competitive forefront using innovative methods to lead the market", said Franck Guillemard, head of the Mechatronic Team, DRIA (Division of Research and Automobile Innovation), PSA Peugeot Citroen.
"There is no other solution at this time on the market that enables our Research and Innovation team to collaboratively optimise the innovation process.
Centric Innovation will significantly accelerate our new vehicle development and enable PSA Peugeot Citroen to continue to meet our market targets".
PSA Peugeot Citroen is using the Centric Innovation solution to conduct complete mechatronic analysis and simulation of electromechanical systems.
The solution provides a full interdisciplinary collaboration environment to explore and validate new concepts.
Centric Innovation links to mechatronic software, such as Matlab and Simulink, to synthesise results in context of the total product definition.
"As electronics become more and more important in automotive design and development, a complete system level simulation incorporating electronics, electromechanical, and mechanical, is crucial to maintain market leadership", said Ed Miller, President of CIMdata.
