Maxim I/T and Cimmetry Systems have announced the completion of integrating Cimmetry's Web-based viewing technology into its enterprise search technology FindView 2.0

Maxim I/T and Cimmetry Systems have announced the completion of integrating Cimmetry's Web-based viewing technology into FindView 2.0.

Cimmetry's AutoVue for Java is now the default applet viewer for FindView 2.0.

Embedding Cimmetry's Java technology allows Maxim I/T to extend the breath of data formats currently supported by its thin-client products.

Cimmetry's technology will aid users of Maxim I/T's enterprise search technology, FindView, to view a broad range of formats solely through a web browser previously linked to specific application or desktop viewers.

One of the major reasons Maxim I/T selected AutoVue for Java from the pool of viewing technology available for integration, was its superior thin-client architecture.

By eliminating the need for client-side viewer installation, Cimmetry is helping Maxim I/T to maintain its customer goal of minimal maintenance with no client installation.

AutoVue for Java provides Maxim I/T's FindView 2.0 with visualization and markup capabilities for graphic, office, and engineering formats.

In addition, Maxim I/T intends to integrate Cimmetry's viewing technology into FindView Connect, Maxim I/T's supply-chain collaboration gateway.

"AutoVue for Java bolsters Maxim I/T's leadership position in the Data Retrieval market." stated Nainesh Rathod, President and CEO of Maxim I/T.

"In allowing our users to now view a broader array of formats through the FindView interface, AutoVue for Java is ensuring we are able to continue pursuing our mission of delivering technology that is powerful yet simple for the evolving enterprise." "Its all about maximizing value for the customer: sophisticated information retrieval and organization from Maxim I/T, now combined with real viewing and redlining power for the Web, straightforward deployment, and 'no hands' maintenance and upgrading from Cimmetry Systems." said Alain Danik, Business Development Manager at Cimmetry Systems.
