Cimmetry Systems has announced the release of AutoVue 15.4, the latest version of its flagship visualization and markup family of products, with many new formats supported

Cimmetry Systems announced today the release of AutoVue 15.4, the latest version of its flagship visualization and markup family of products.

This family of products includes: AutoVue, AutoVue Professional, AutoVue SolidModel, AutoVue SolidModel Professional.

New formats supported in this release include: * Support for Pro/ENGINEER 2D/3D parts and assemblies and drawings (versions 2001, 2000i2, 2000i and < 20) * Support for CATIA 2D/3D (4.x) * Support for Unigraphics 3D models * Support for Autodesk Inventor 2D / 3D models (versions 4.x, 3.x, 2.x, 1.x) * Support for Autodesk Mechanical Desktop 3D models (version 2000) * Support for SolidWorks 2D/3D parts and assemblies (up to 2001) * Support for Solid Edge 2D / 3D parts and assemblies (up to V.9) * Support for SolidDesigner 2D / 3D parts and assemblies (up to 2000+).

Thus, it is the most viable visualization solution for design formats available today." AutoVue SolidModel Professional 15.4 includes 3D Markup/Redlining capabilities, allowing users to create annotation files directly on a 3D model.

Markup features include attaching text and sticky-notes to specific points on a model as well as creating precise measurements of any dimension of the model.

Once markups are created, they can be rotated along with the model, remaining fixed to the designated anchor points.

With AutoVue SolidModel 15.4 a user can perform precise measurements and calculations on 3D models.

These include the ability to measure the distance between any two vertices, edges, midedges, faces or arc centers.

Precise measurements can also be obtained for arcs, angles, and vertex coordinates.

AutoVue SolidModel 15.4 can also perform minimum distance measurements and also provides mass properties readings such as, mass, volume, and center of gravity for any model or selection.

AutoVue supports the native visualization and markup of over 200 different file formats such as 2D/3D engineering formats as well as office and graphics documents.

Some of the major formats supported include: AutoCAD, MicroStation, CATIA, Pro/ENGINEER, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Unigraphics, Inventor, Mechanical Desktop, IGES, STEP, CADKey, ME-10, MS Office, TIFF and PDF.

AutoVue integrates with most major Document Management and PDM systems including Documentum, FileNET, Hummingbird, Lotus Notes, Matrix One, Open Text and Windchill.

These are accomplished either via its out-of-the-box "VueLink" integrations or through third-party development.

AutoVue's is designed with an open API, simplifying custom integrations with virtually any host system.
