Visualisation/markup system supports
Unigraphics
Cimmetry Systems has announced that its AutoVue SolidModel product can now visualize and markup the 3D parts and assemblies created by the Unigraphics package (including V13, 14, 15, 16 and 17).
Cimmetry Systems has announced that its AutoVue SolidModel product now supports the Unigraphics format AutoVue can now visualize and markup the 3D parts and assemblies created by the Unigraphics package (including V13, 14, 15, 16 and 17)
In continuing with the tradition of supporting the most popular CAD formats, Cimmetry Systems has added support for the Unigraphics format in the most recent release of AutoVue, version 15.4(c1).
Now organizations that make use of this popular design package can visualize and markup their 3D parts and assemblies from within AutoVue, thus communicating their design changes easily and clearly across the extended enterprise.
The AutoVue family of products supports over 200 different document formats ranging from 3D and 2D CAD to vector, raster, hybrid and office file types.
The Solid Edge 2D and 3D formats are supported as well, along with CATIA, Pro/Engineer, SolidWorks, Inventor, SolidDesigner, IGES, HPGL, VRML, STEP, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Visio, PDF, TIFF, and MS Office.
The functionality available in AutoVue SolidModel is extensive, providing users with the ability to take precise measurements, explode assemblies, take cross-sections, navigate through the product hierarchy structure, rotate, spin, zoom etc as well as adjust color, transparency (peel off capability) and light settings.
A variety of rendering schemes are available including shaded model, wireframe, hidden line removal, and silhouette.
Given that AutoVue can access the native data of a model, there is no need to convert documents before viewing them.
This allows for a precision of measurement impossible in conversion-based visualization solutions.
AutoVue's simple, out-of-the-box installation was designed for all stakeholders in the extended enterprise, from the most technical engineer or product designer, to the shop floor, to the less technical marketing and sales departments.
The 'plug and play' installation of Cimmetry's products sets it apart as being the easiest to use, most complete 3D/2D engineering visualization solution on the market today.
"We are extremely proud to announce our native visualization support for the Unigraphics format in our AutoVue SolidModel product." said Pam Petropoulos of Cimmetry Systems.
"In addition to Unigraphics support, AutoVue provides UG users with the ability to access a variety of other formats from a single interface.
With the broad range of formats we support, our 3D markup capabilities, and our seamless integration with the most popular EDM/PDM systems, AutoVue has become the obvious choice for many design and manufacturing organizations around the world." AutoVue is also available in a thin-client JAVA version, allowing for collaboration over corporate intranets, extranets and the Internet as well as via ASPs and online collaboration portals.
Installation takes place only on the server side, allowing for ease of maintenance and deployment.
AutoVue integrates seamlessly with many popular DMS/EDM/PDM/ERP systems such as, Documentum, FileNET, Lotus Notes/Domino, Agile, Matrix, OpenText, PC DOCS, SmarTeam, Windchill, and many more.
