Open Text Corp has selected Cimmetry's AutoVue as its recommended viewing and markup package to offer the Livelink customer base.
Open Text Corp has selected Cimmetry's AutoVue as its recommended viewing and markup package to offer the Livelink customer base.
Cimmetry joined Open Text's Affinity Partner Programme in 1998.
This new arrangement is designed to provide customers with viewing and markup capabilities fully integrated into the Livelink environment.
Open Text now offers Cimmetry's AutoVue to the Livelink user community, allowing users to view and markup over 200 CAD, engineering and office document formats.
Open Text recommends AutoVue to its customers requiring access to these document types.
AutoVue is a versatile application that provides a single uniform interface, and one comprehensive set of tools with which the user can natively view, print and convert various electronic documents.
AutoVue allows the user to work directly with documents in over 200 different file formats, without the need for authoring applications.
With AutoVue, users cannot edit or modify a document without the authoring application, thereby fully preserving the original document's integrity.

AutoVue integrates seamlessly with the Livelink repository, allowing users to not only view their documents, but to annotate them and automatically check the markups back in as controlled documents.
Formats supported include 2D CAD documents, 3D assemblies and parts), EDA formats and office documents.
