Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Apr 11, 2003

AutoVue users can now handle AutoCAD 2004 files via a new service pack for current users under maintenance and also using the upcoming release of AutoVue 17.1.

AutoVue now supports AutoCAD 2004.

The upgrade is available immediately as a service pack for AutoVue users under maintenance and will be included in the upcoming release of AutoVue 17.1.

"Our users and partners have come to rely on AutoVue to support the latest formats, and justifiably so.

Cimmetry is consistently first to market with the most comprehensive and reliable support for engineering and CAD formats", said Pam Petropoulos, Marketing Manager at Cimmetry Systems.

"We will continue to support the latest versions of the major CAD packages in a timely manner, as we have for years".

AutoCAD 2004 delivers faster performance, a more intuitive interface and valuable data management tools, allowing users to create and share design data more efficiently than ever before.

Cimmetry Systems, a long-standing partner of Autodesk, supports AutoCAD users by ensuring that they have up-to-date viewing access to their data.

With AutoVue, users can view DWG files created in AutoCAD 2004 and provide feedback by marking up, redlining, and collaborating in real-time on that data.

AutoVue provides a single point of access and common UI allowing users to view and markup over 200 different formats.

AutoVue is available as a desktop Windows application and as a thin-client, server based solution that requires no client-side installation and can be deployed through the intranet/Internet from Windows or Unix servers.

AutoVue supports 3D CAD parts and assemblies, 2D CAD drawings, EDA PCB layouts and schematics, raster, vector, hybrid and office documents.

Formats include: Catia, UG, Pro/E, JT, Inventor, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, AutoCAD, MicroStation, HPGL, Cadence Allegro, Mentor Board Station, Orcad, EDIF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, TIFF etc.
