A Circor Instrumentation product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jun 14, 2001

Gyrolok instrumentation fittings are now available in 316 stainless steel, brass, carbon steel, Monel, Carpenter 20, Hastelloy C276, Inconel, Titanium, 254 SMO, Duplex 2205, and Super Duplex

The Hoke Gyrolok range of instrumentation fittings is now available from Circor in a new line including 316 stainless steel, brass, carbon steel, Monel, Carpenter 20, Hastelloy C276, Inconel, Titanium, 254 SMO, Duplex 2205, and Super Duplex.

These materials withstand the most corrosive conditions in chemical processing and extend service life in aggressive offshore applications.

Maximum user safety under high pressure or vibration and improved system efficiency through maximised flow are provided by the fittings' controlled ferrule drive, which also eliminates over-stressing of tubing or excessive reduction of its inside diameter.

A butt seal gives a second, series seal and eliminates dead space, while maximising fitting leak integrity and user safety.

This feature also increases accuracy in sampling applications and reduces pump down-time in vacuum applications.

Leak tight sealing is important in most applications but it is essential in chemical processing where toxic chemicals could injure personnel.

The Hoke 'Gyrogage' is used to ensure maximum installation safety by verifying that all components are present in each fitting, that tubing has been properly inserted and that the fittings have been properly tightened.

Further safety is provided by heat code traceability to certified material test reports of fitting bodies and nuts made of 316 stainless steel, Monel and many other materials.

The Gyrolok 'Safety Changer' assists maintenance personnel by simplifying component replacement.

The Safety Changer holds the entire nut and ferrule system on a rod in the correct orientation, helping to eliminate forgotten or incorrectly ordered components.
