CI Systems and OKSI have signed a joint venture agreement to jointly bid and sell products designed or innovated by the two companies.

CI Systems and OKSI have signed a joint venture agreement to jointly bid and sell products designed or innovated by the two companies OKSI, based in California, specialises in airborne systems for IR

It's a win-win situation for both sides where each side benefits from the others' expertise.

OKSI specialises in system design and development, whereas CI has radiometric and spectral imaging knowhow, manufacturing capability and an effective international sales network.

"We believe that with OKSI's knowledge base and our customer base, new markets will open for both of us", said Bob Buckwald, CEO.

"We are very pleased to work with the OKSI staff".

"There is a strong synergism between the two companies and between our technologies", he continued.

CI first started working with OKSI when it bid on developing a fast spectroradiometer needed by the Israeli Ministry of Defence.

"OKSI simply had the best technology for the job", said Dario Cabib, CTO and COB.

"We soon realised that both companies could benefit from partnering in a more strategic way".

"With this agreement, CI has the exclusive right to market jointly developed systems as well as other developed OKSI products".

Nahum Gat, President of OKSI, said: "CI has an established worldwide sales and marketing network that will greatly expand OKSI's opportunities to reach global customers".

This agreement with OKSI is just one of the developments at CI regarding remote sensing.

There are more opportunities for bids in the USA, the Far East and Israel, which in turn, has stimulated negotiations with other remote sensing companies for possible partnering.

"Very significant technological advances and decreasing costs of sensors and computers have increased the number of remote sensing applications, especially in the infra-red spectral range", said Dario Cabib.

"CI sees these changes as opportunities for company growth".
