Catalog Data Solutions (CDS), a leading provider of online product selection tools for industrial suppliers and distributors, has revealed that Techno is averaging 400-500 CAD downloads per month.
Techno is a New Hyde Park, New York based operating division of Designatronics, a company that began in 1960 as a manufacturer of small mechanical products.
Techno manufactures CNC x-y-z gantry machines, and distributes linear motion and gripper products - the linear motion control systems include linear actuators, positioning systems, linear slides, x-y tables, Cartesian robots motors and more.
Offering CAD models for designers was part of an overall plan to provide Techno customers with a complete e-commerce solution including product catalogue, CAD model downloads and e-store.
Techno's product offerings can be researched, downloaded, quoted and purchased quickly, safely and easily.
"Responding to customer requests for CAD models of our products, we decided to offer 3D CAD models of parts for download because we believed it would boost our online sales, get products 'locked' into new designs and compliment our online store", said Herb Arum, Designatronic's Marketing Manager.
