Ohio Nut and Bolt Company adopts CAD model download and e-commerce solutions, and is achieving website traffic increases of 75% and an increase in sales lead generation of 35%.

Catalog Data Solutions (CDS) has announced that Ohio Nut and Bolt Company has adopted its CAD model download and e-commerce solutions, and is achieving website traffic increases of 75% and an increase in sales lead generation of 35%.

Ohio Nut and Bolt Company, a subsidiary of Fastener's Industries, manufactures resistance weld fasteners, levellers and adjusting screws in inch and metric threads and in low carbon and stainless steel.

They also offer custom variations on their standard line of product.

Responding to customer requests for CAD models of its products, Ohio Nut and Bolt decided to offer 3D CAD models of fasteners for download.

"We feel that when a customer downloads a CAD drawing, they will purchase the product", said Rich Bryda, Sales Manager, Ohio Nut and Bolt.

"Providing online CAD has made us a faster company, the online information is readily available anytime an engineer wants to view the CAD drawings/models and when a specific product meets their needs, download it directly into their design".

"With the addition of 2D/3D CAD drawings to our website, we are meeting the needs of our entire customer base and will undoubtedly increase our sales".

"We are delighted to have been selected by Ohio Nut and Bolt for our leading online CAD model download solution, lead tracking system and affordable CAD services", said John Major, CEO Catalog Data Solutions.

"Online 3D models are an important sales and marketing tool for all industrial suppliers and distributors".

"With many customers moving from 2D to 3D CAD systems providing online 3D CAD model downloads often 'locks' products into a design so suppliers later benefit from the sales success of that design".

"Suppliers without 3D models on their website are at risk of losing customers to their competition who do offer 3D models".
