CKS' new industrial workstation will operate successfully in harsh industrial locations including wash down areas.

CKS is launching an industrial workstation intended for use in extremely harsh environments.

The new workstation will form part of a range of CKS products designed for military, industrial and Kiosk applications.

Manufactured in tough aluminium or stainless steel, the new unit will operate successfully in harsh industrial locations including wash down areas.

Applications for the new workstation include processing plants, factory floors, manufacturing areas and any industrial space that requires a rugged and reliable computing capability.

A stainless steel mounting bracket allows for wall or pedestal fixing.

Based on standard products with industrial grade components, the new Workstation has a rugged industrial keyboard and Trackerball (PS2), 15 or 17-inch displays and VESA mount and is sealed to IP65/NEMA 4.

Operating temperatures range from 5 to 35C with 256Mbyte of memory and 40Gbyte (min) of storage.

Options include memory up to 1Gbyte, operating systems WIN2000, WINXP Pro and Embedded XP, touch screen and sealing to IP66 and 67.

Designed and manufactured by CKS at their ISO 9001 facility, the new Industrial workstation is installed and maintained by CKS trained service engineers and carries a full three-year warranty.
