Training courses cover Inventor and AutoCAD

An iKnowledge Solutions product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team May 15, 2006

iKnowledge Solutions has added nine new courses to the i.get.it knowledge delivery platform.

iKnowledge Solutions (formerly Cadpo) has added nine new courses to the i.get.it knowledge delivery platform.

The new releases are specific to the manufacturing and engineering design programs AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor: AutoCAD 2007, Autodesk Inventor 10 and Autodesk Inventor 11.

i.get.it is the most comprehensive knowledge delivery system for multiple applications in the PLM industry.

Course titles for AutoCAD 2007 are: "Dynamic blocks", "Conceptual design", "Fields and attributes" and "Visual styles".

Course titles for Inventor 11 are: "Inventor test drive", "iAssemblies", "Inventor Studio", "Positional representations and "Weldments".

The new courses are consistent with the i.get.it closed loop learning methodology that was first introduced in 2000 enabling learners to pre and post assess their skills in addition to learning through defined objectives, in-depth lessons, and real world projects.

All nine courses are multimedia based, offering both audio and visual components.

The professionally developed courses are comprehensive, customisable and web-hosted.

Users can access the materials from any virtual location without additional software or plug-ins.

iKS provides a free Autodesk Inventor quick start course (half day of material) which users can complete to obtain a basic understanding of Autodesk Inventor.

In addition, there is a 100 question comprehensive skills gap assessment for Autodesk Inventor provided at no charge.

This assessment is intended to report areas for improvement, testing potential hires, and as a follow up to classroom essentials training.

According to Kevin Noe, President of iKS, the new courses compliment the content in the existing i.get.it platform: "Since 20000, i.get.it has featured internet based PLM content for Catia, NX, Teamcentre and SolidWorks applications".

"The Autodesk courses enable us to provide additional content for the growing mid-range design centric market.

We are extremely proud that the Autodesk courses are just as robust and user-friendly as the 10,000 hours of courses already existing in our library".

Steve Slack, Autodesk Product Manager for iKS adds: "Our objective is to create high quality, update and focused topic training that is typically not covered in classroom environments".

"We feel our initial Autodesk course offering, and the courses planned for the future, fulfills a substantial need for continuous learning in Autodesk products".

The new courses are now available at the introductory price of US $495.
