Cadpo is experiencing a methodology training spike in 2005.

Cadpo trained 77 designers in Delphi Corp's Design Methodologies Horizontal Modeling (HM) and Digital Process Design (DPD) in the first month of the year - up substantially from prior months.

"We've seen increased interest in methods and best practice training so far this year", said David Fedler, Executive Vice President, Cadpo.

"Programs like Delphi's HM-DPD and SAE Automotive CAD Certification focus on teaching design process improvements".

"Taught in the context of leading CAD tools like Catia and Unigraphics NX, these methods have immediate applicability".

Horizontal Modeling (HM) eliminates the need to recreate CAD data throughout the product development cycle.

Digital Process Design (DPD) optimises design-change cycles as manufacturing process designers develop process models and associated process drawings from HM models.

Both methodologies are proven to help save time and help cut costs.

Cadpo has provided certified HM-DPD training since September 2003.

"HM-DPD has had a tremendous impact in our engineering factory", said Mike Richardson, Director of Engineering, Delphi Steering.

"We are pleased to see broader adoption of these methodologies".
